1930 - 2018
Elbert Preston Hall, 87, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2018. He was born on July 17, 1930, in Bowles, W.Va, a son of the late William Cecil Hall and Vennie Jewel Reynolds Hall. He is also preceded in death by his wife Lois Annette Boliek Hall; one son, Michael William Hall and one brother, Dillard Hall. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an retired Millwright. He is survived by two daughters, Janet Cowan (Patrick Buchanan) and Sharon Hall; three sons, Kenneth Ray Hall, Daniel Hall (Kwi Suk) and Richard Hall (Yongson); one sister, Hester McCallister (Robert); two brothers, Lester Jay Hall (Andre) and Orman Ray Hall (Cheryl); one sister-in-law, Jean Hall and three grandchildren, Jonathan Hall, Angela Hall and Racheal Hall. Memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Winford Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

We are so sorry to hear of the death of Preston. We at least had a chance to visit in October and were able to express our love and support for him. We will really miss the stories of the war, his love of country and experiences through life. We are grateful for his life and wish the family love and support.

I was saddened to hear of Elbert's passing. I was honored to know him and have fond memories of him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.
