Sandra L. Root, 77, of Crown City, Ohio, formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, went home on Monday March 12, 2018, to be in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, of whom she loved and served faithfully. She was born February 24, 1941 in Terra Alta, WV. She was the daughter of Joe Roy and Mabel Sisler who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a brother Harry (Polly) Sisler; sister Betty (Ed) Messenger; and husband Carl Root. She is survived by three sons Carl (Bonnie) Root, Mark (Joyce) Root, Brian (Cindy) Root; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister Cheryl (Mick) Friend; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Christ Community Church. Funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Friday March 16, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Dr. Kermit Taylor, Pastor Eddie Neel, and her nephew Greg Messenger.
