Marion Wesley Adkins, 75, of South Point, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at River’s Bend Health Care Center, South Point, Ohio. He was born May 29, 1942 in Huntington, WV son of the late Marion and Essie Eplion Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Orville Adkins; and three sisters Ruth Wallace, Willadean Adkins and Zelphia Hager. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #16, Huntington, WV. He is survived by four daughters Donna (David) Bailey of Florida, Teresa Adkins of Proctorville, Angela (Paul) Gundy of Florida and Ruth Bonecutter of South Point, Ohio and their mother Nancy Adkins; seven grandchildren Amy, Jennifer, Christopher, Josh, Sam, and Zach and Andrew “his two special buddies”; two great grandchildren Alexander and Kendall and one great grandson on the way; one brother Kermit Adkins of Crown City, Ohio; one sister Barbara Brannen of Huntington, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Shelly Ray. Funeral service will be conducted 5 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Highlawn Full Gospel Assembly 2485 4th Avenue Huntington, WV with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
