Helen T. Perego, 88, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Helen is survived by her son, Johnny Mack (Barbara) Perego of Chesapeake, Ohio; grandchildren Chuc and Jesse Reynolds, and Adam and Krystal Reynolds all of Chesapeake, Ohio; great grandchildren Samuel, Jesse, Jr, Konner, James, Jaxon and Adam, Jr; her brother Paul (Faye) Thomasson of Huntington, WV; her sisters Amy Ann Thomasson of Jacksonville, FL and Audrey Jane Shadburn of Hurricane, WV; and sister-in-law Lucille Thomasson of Painsville, KY. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Thomasson; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Sarah Thomasson. Helen was born February 16, 1930 in Hampshire County, WV daughter of the late Reverend Mack and Amy King Thomasson. She was a graduate of Logan High School. She moved to Huntington, WV and worked 30 years as assistant postmaster in Milton, WV. She was an avid Marshall and Reds fan as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Helen never met a stranger and will be missed by her family and friends. She was blessed with a host of nieces and nephews, and a special niece Mary Margaret Thomasson of Huntington, WV. Funeral service to celebrate Helen’s life will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Gordon Simpson and Brother Ron Donahoe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
