Raymond Lawrence Meadows, ‘Peepaw’, 88, of Proctorville, OH passed away March 17, 2018 at The Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was a retired Superintendent of the Primary Mill of INCO. He served in the SeaBeas in the United States Navy 1952-1955. He enjoyed fishing, archery, coaching baseball and supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events. He was the son of George Raymond and Ethel (Smith) Meadows and brother to Judy Keaton (Milton, WV) and Dora Reynolds (Sylva, NC). He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hunter Meadows of Huntington, March 1 2006. Survivors include his children Jan Marie (Mark) Ellis of Milford, OH and Robin Ray (Kenny) Bumgardner of Proctorville, OH ; grandchildren Cassie (Trevor) Oakes of West LaFayette, IN., Emily Ellis of Milford, OH., Bryce (Tini) of Cincinnati, OH., Sarah Ann Ellis of Eastgate, OH., Michael Joshua Ellis of Milford OH., Molly (Zach) Abbott of Lavalette, WV, Dustin Bumgardner of Huntington, WV; great grandchildren Ellis and Alaire Oakes and Sam Ellis; a host of nieces and nephews; amd special companion Betty Ellis of Proctorville, OH. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 6:30 p.m. at The Wyngate at Rivers Edge, Proctorville, OH. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
