Clayborn Ray Wheeler, 88, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born on August 21, 1929 in Hurricane, W.Va., a son of the late Harry and Mildred Milton Wheeler. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean Wheeler; one brother, Bob Wheeler and also his son-in-law, Verle Goodpaster. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Goodyear and was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Goodpaster; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Joy Wheeler; three grandchildren, Valerie Smith (Dustin), Joshua Wheeler, Nicole Cremeans (Jared); two great-grandchildren, Mikayla Yuchniuk and Michael Cremeans and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Noon Monday, April 9, 2018 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Rick Glass officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Monday.
