Roland Roland “Ronnie” Hayes, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at his residence in Proctorville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucian and Faye Fuller Hayes. Roland was retired as an inspector for the State of Ohio Food, Drug and Dairy. He was on the Lawrence County School Board for 41 years. He was a member of the VFW Post# 6878 of Proctorville, Ohio, AM VETS, and Crown City #536 Masonic Lodge F&AM where he was also a Past Master and assistant education officer for the southern district for the Masonic Lodge. Roland was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Cincinnati and a member of Finley Methodist Church. He was also a Marine Corporal and a Korean conflict veteran. He is survived by his wife Rosalene Shockley Hayes; two sons Mark (Tammy) Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio and Daniel (Pamela) Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; one daughter Robin (Steve) Webb of Florida; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother Roger Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Pinkerman at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio. Entombment will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, OH. Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio. Masonic services will be held and graveside military rites will be conducted by Proctorville VFW Post # 6878. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideon’s International. Condolences can be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
