Lois Hayes Nance, of Chesapeake, Ohio, left this world on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on Saturday, June 23, 2018 and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was greeted by her parents, Carl and Charlene Pemberton Hayes, and her sister, Joann Hayes Ellis, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Gene Nance, Sr., and her mother and father-in-law, Garnet and Nick Nance. She is survived by her son, Gene Nance, Jr. and her daughters, Ginger Nance and Sandra Nance; three grandchildren, Captain Jason Nance (Alicia), Nick Nance and Lindsey Nance; one great grandson, Daniel Nance. She is also survived by a brother, John Hayes (Hilda) and brother-in-law Bobby Ellis; nephews, Dennis Ellis, John Hayes, III, David Hayes; and nieces Jana Nicholas and Jerycka Hayes; longtime friend Geraldine Null; and many beloved close friends. Lois was saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and baptized in 1949. She entered fellowship with believers at Symmes Creek Missionary Baptist Church and later attended Grace Gospel Church and Union Missionary Baptist Church until the Lord led her back home to Symmes Creek in the summer of 2013. She was retired from Radiology, Inc. and worked on her and her husband’s farm on Greasy Ridge. She was also a homemaker and deeply dedicated to her family. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Mark Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Centenary Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
