Mary Ruth Maddox, 77, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born December 6, 1940 in Chesapeake, Ohio daughter of the late Clyde F. Leffingwell and Mary Keeney Leffingwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade T. “Buck” Maddox, Jr; four sisters, Crystal Duncan, Edna Lilly, Clara Lockhart and Lena Null; and two brothers, Ray Leffingwell and Oley “Frank” Leffingwell. She is survived by two sons, Wade T. Maddox, III of South Point, Ohio and Shane Royce (Alicia) Maddox of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren Wade Evan Maddox and Ireland Brooke Maddox; one sister Betty (Bill) Thacker of Proctorville, Ohio; and one brother Keith Leffingwell of Hubbard Lake, MI. She attended Union Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Marshall University where she worked in the book store. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Brady Lipscomb. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
