Jackie “Jiggs” Rigney, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born August 8, 1927 in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Jasper and Ada Workman Rigney. He retired from INCO, Huntington, WV. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dorothy Bowen Rigney; one daughter Karen Rigney Pemberton; one son Donald Rigney and his wife Rhonda of Proctorville, Ohio; three granddaughters, Summer Pemberton, Dustee Rigney Carpenter and her husband Brad, and Brandee Rigney Holland and husband Justin; four great grandchildren, Bronx and Remee Carpenter, and Pozee and Jerzee Holland. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Rigney, Charles Rigney and George Rigney; four sisters Blanch Pinkerman, Helen Bradly, Pearl Pine and Fleta Miles. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Bob Rose. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
