Laurabelle Lucretia Polley, 86, formerly of Huntington, WV passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her residence. Laurabelle “Babe” was born August 2, 1931 in Proctorville, Ohio, one of five children, born to George and Ruth Polley. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Polley; brothers William and Thomas; sister, Helen; brother-in-law, Bill Brown and sister-in-law Louise Polley. She is survived by her sister, Inez Brown of Columbus; a host of nieces and nephews including Leslie (Melvin) Dawson, Karen (Rico) Toland, William Polley and Patricia Polley of Columbus, Ohio; a host of great nieces and nephews including Bill (Lisa) Matlock of Newbury Park, CA, Sandra (Will) Brown of Columbus, Ohio, Jessyca Toland of Delaware, Ohio; Wynter (Parris) Burt, Whtyney Sene of Lewis Center and Theodore Toland of Columbus, OH; as well as many great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins including special cousins Shirley Pleasant, Susanne (Jimmy) Howard of Burlington, Ohio, Jean Mickens of Silver Springs, MD, Maurice Pleasant of Reynoldsburg, OH and very dear friend, Sara N. Adkins. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio with Bishop Gary Edwards officiating.
