Ronald E Traurig, 85, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Friday July 6th 2018. He was born January 3rd 1933 in Milwaukee, WI. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Rainier Traurig and his mother Leone Louise Karen. Ronald is survived by his wife Donna, his sister Jean Wedell, son Tim, daughter Tami, and 6 grandchildren Jacqueline, Ryan, Jennifer, Brittany, Mindy and Julianne; and 9 great-grandchildren Sierra, Hunter, Hartley, Lilly, Delaney, Madison, Fynn, Levi and Piper. He has served in the Navy in the Korean War, he was a police officer for 24 years serving his community and received the purple heart medal, he was a chaplain and a pastor with youth, he has led several mission trips to Mexico, Papua New Guinea and Philippines, he was a school teacher for special ed children, he has been an amazing Father, Grandfather and Great Grandpa or (Boompa) as he is called by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He taught us God and family first and to be strong and compassionate towards others and to Love God with all of our hearts. He believed in working hard and giving 100% of yourself in everything you do from ministry, work, family, friends and marriage and even in the trials of life. What an example, what a Legacy to leave behind that will continue to be carried on not only within our family but in the many lives and friends of those he has touched.
