Perchie  WilliamsonPerchie Williamson, 77, of Proctorville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, surrounded by his family and his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Alderman Williamson. He was born June 26, 1941 in Dunlow, WV son of the late Howard Taft and Vada Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Alta Mae Porter, Avonelle (Harold) Dilley and Patricia Spence; brother Fern (Nancy) Williamson; and brother-in-law Curtis Williamson. Perchie is survived by his children Cora Williamson Pyles (Larry), Jeff Williamson (Terri), Karen Williamson Smith (Jamie) and Marty Williamson (Sondie); five grandchildren Heather (Adam) Himes, Amber (Mason) Pinkerman, Erin Williamson, Caleb Smith and Kendall Smith; one great grandchild Bebo Himes; one sister Loretta Williamson; and brother Drew (Sandy) Williamson; two brothers-in-law Gus Porter and Chester Spence; many nieces and nephews; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; all dear to him. He retired from J H Fletcher Mining Company as a welder after 37 years of service. He loved his family, fishing, hunting and being at his brother’s farm. He had dear friendships, and beloved neighbors “the porch sitters”, and his best friend of 50 years, Jim Murphy. He was a member and former Deacon of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio until his illness. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV 25709 or National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org or 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
