Jerry Ronald Blakeman, 77, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at home. He was born July 30, 1940 in Ironton, Ohio son of the late Arnold and Garnet Groh Blakeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rice Blakeman. He is survived by two daughters, Ruth Begil of Willow Wood, Ohio and Betty Kay Blakeman Church and her husband Brian Church of Ashland, KY; one son Jeffrey Blakeman and his wife Michelle of Willow Wood, Ohio; seven grandchildren Dusti Davidson, Zaylan Blakeman, Shelby Church, Brianna Church, Heather Church, Brian Church and Sophia Church. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a Barber for 40 plus years. He was a member of Old Baptist Freewill Church. He enjoyed his time with family and friends, but most of all fishing. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Old Baptist Church Cemetery, Greasy Ridge Road, Scottown, Ohio with Pastor Larry Casteel officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 2761, Willow Wood, Ohio.
