Marshall Montgomery Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2018 Marshall Montgomery, 91, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. He was born June 18, 1927 in Gallia County, Ohio son of the late John T. and Hattie Burcham Montgomery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Arthena Deckard Montgomery; one son Marlin Montgomery; one sister Pauline Boster; two brothers Paul Montgomery and Donald Montgomery; and grandson James Poteet. He is survived by his wife, Mary Montgomery; two daughters Loretta Hammond of Crown City, Ohio and Louella Poteet of Crown City, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; one step daughter Shanna Sims of Huntington, WV. He retired from Connors Steel. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jimmy Tingler. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. hey what say about Marshall? I think he was a mans man. a example of what we should do as men! I myself, enjoyed Marshall and my dad being together! the stories, were great! and I got to go get the beer out of the friged and learn so much!!! and watch Marshall and Dee smith walk home in the dark of the night, feeling good and singing and laughing! never will forget! thank you! love marc
