Wanda Lee Fortune Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1930 - 2018 WANDA LEE FORTUNE, 88, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away September 8, 2018, in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Pecks Mill, W.Va., by Sidney Ellis. She was born March 5, 1930, in Flatwoods, Ky., a daughter of the late W.B. and Ruth Bryant Clendenin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John B. Fortune. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Carol Fortune of Thompson Station, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dan Shifflette of Hiram, Ga.; two sisters, Barbara Jean Bigam of Homestead Falls, Ohio and Georganna Ferrell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one brother, Chester Clendenin of Melbourne, Fla.; two grandchildren, Danielle and Deaven Shifflette. Pallbearers will include Dan Shifflette, V.L. Johnson Jr., Charles Clendenin, Sidney Ellis, George Shelton and A.B. Shelton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

John, I'm sorry for your loss. Although I never met your mother I was fortunate to know her thru your stories about her from growing up and your time with her at the retirement facility. You were a good son that many of us should emulate! You are in my thoughts during this time of grieving. Your friend, Mark D
