Donald Carson Lewis, 76, of Ironton, Ohio, beloved husband of Maxine Russell Lewis, passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia on Monday, September 17, 2018 at The Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, Ohio. He was born June 9, 1942 in Grayson, KY son of the late Otha Lewis and Mildred Richardson Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers David Lewis, Paul Lewis and Bill Lewis. He retired from Johnson’s Body Shop in Westwood, KY. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters Donetta Bank, Missi Keska and Meredith Chapman; three grandchildren Tabetha Willey, Devan and Ashlyn Keska; two great grandchildren James and Payson Willey; one brother Steve Lewis; one sister Mattie Bogard; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; two special sisters-in-law Anita Lewis and Debbie Russell; and brother-in-law Daniel Russell. The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Paul Lutheran Church for their prayers and all the prayers from family and friends. Also a special thank you to Lawrence County EMS for the many trips they made to help with Don, The Sanctuary of Ohio Valley for their outstanding service and care, and Ashland Community Hospice for their care and support.
