David Alan Christian, 69, of Proctorville, OH went to be with the Lord September 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1949 to the late Elmer and Helen Suiter Christian. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bobby, Danny (Pete), Oscar, Jerry, and Richard; his sister Judy Thomas; and a granddaughter, Allyson Christian. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Harris Christian and her three sons; Lewis (OH), William (KY), and Marvin (VA). He is also survived by sons David (Kelly Perry)of Clearwater, FL ; granddaughter Alexis of Lenoir, NC; and Randy (Selena Harrison) of Huntington; and daughter Courtenay Crum (Mike) of Cannonsburg, KY, and grandchildren Bryce, Taylor, Caden, Madeline, and Micheal, Jr. He is also survived by a sister, Goldie of WV, and two brothers Louie of OH, and Freddie of WV. He was a retired sales representative with Clayton Homes. David was an avid baseball fan, and spent 15 years coaching Little League baseball at League 7 in Guyandotte. He was also an active member of Apostolic Life Cathedral in Guyandotte. The family would also like to recognize a few special people in David’s life, Ernest and Charlotte Nance, and Butch and Mae Blake, as well as their son Joe. Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Apostolic Life Cathedral in Guyandotte. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.
