Alfreda A. Christian, 97, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at home. She was born August 7, 1921 in Proctorville, Ohio daughter of the late John and Agnes Clark Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Charles “Chuck” Christian; granddaughter Robin Murdock Burnette; one brother Raymond Miller; and one brother in law Kimball Whitley. She was a member of Union U. B. Church. She worked in her family grocery store until her retirement. She is survived by one son Larry Christian of South Point, Ohio; one daughter Madonna Callicoat of Proctorville, Ohio; five grandchildren Paula, Terri, Todd, Toni and Tammy; seven great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; one sister Cleora Whitley of Proctorville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice Nurses and A & L Home Care. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Black and Pastor Harold Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
