Freda Delores Stephenson Percell
Wheelersburg-Freda Delores Stephenson Percell, 92, entered heaven on Friday, January 18, 2019 at SOMC Hospice. Freda was a member of Germany Hollow Free Will Baptist Church and has attended Cedar Street Church of Christ in New Boston for the last 20 years. Freda married Bernard Percell on March 15, 1944, who precedes her. Freda is also preceded in death by her parents, Retta and Thomas Stephenson, her son, Larry Percell, son-in-law, Ithiel Cooper, brother, Ellsworth Stephenson and a sister Bernatine Coyle. Freda was a graduate of the Wheelersburg High School class of 1944. She retired from Fred’s Restaurant. Freda is survived by a son, Michael Steven (Karen) Percell, a daughter, Claudia Cooper, daughter-in-law, Rose Carter. She has eight grandchildren; Lori Coper, Chad Cooper, Dana (Jeff) Tackett, Debra (Tom) Wagner, Ashli Marler, Samantha Meyer, Carrie Percell and Amanda Percell. Freda has twenty great grandchildren and ten great, great grandchildren. Special thanks to Ruth Stephenson, SOMC Hospital and SOMC Hospice for the loving care Freda has received during her times of need.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Merit Smith officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00-7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
