Rose A. Murphy Bailey, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2019, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, in Huntington West Virginia. Rosie was a happy, smiling, caring, and strong woman. Rosie lived life to the fullest, through simple pleasures, and treasured every moment. She was born in Huntington West Virginia, and resided there throughout her life. Rosie was the daughter of the late Floyd M. Murphy and Lucille Crager Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Sanford Bailey, sister Wanda Lee Murphy Raye, and brother, Timothy Murphy. She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo Bailey, granddaughter Miranda Chantel Bailey, grandson Charles Matthew Bailey, two great granddaughters, Zaylee Nevaeh Senae Bailey, Alea Trinity Cheyann Parsons, one great grandson, Cashton Matthew Gage Bailey, and one unborn great grandchild due to be born October 31, 2019, three sisters, Peggy Sue Chaney of Chesapeake Ohio, Sonya Lynn Wolford of Huntington WV, Osie Mae Cleveland of Proctorville Ohio, one brother, Warren Grant Murphy of Huntington WV, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and loved ones. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, in Proctorville Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. At Rose's request, she will be cremated and has asked, there be no service held, except a private gathering at her home.
