Kermit (J.R.) Sawyers III, 50, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2021. J.R. was born on July 29, 1970 to the late Kermit Sawyers Jr. and Patricia Howard Sawyers in Huntington, WV. He was also preceded in death by a bonus mom Carol Seitz. J.R. is survived by his sisters Karen (Kenny) Flora and Donna (Mark) Sawyers; bonus sister Vickie (Dennis) Pack; bonus brothers Tony (Jane) Mays and Phillip (Trina) Mays all of Huntington, WV; several nieces and nephews, that he loved dearly; nephew Chaz, Aaron Sawyers, Arnold Pack, Michael, and Paul Mays; nieces Hester Sawyers and Alayiah Pack; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He attended Brighter Day Ministry where he loved to praise God. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. Funeral service will be held at 7 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH with Pastor Tony Mays officiating.
