1946 - 2021

Patricia Jean ButlerPatricia Jean Butler, 74, of Proctorville, Ohio formerly of Newton Falls, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born at Valley Bend, WV on November 12, 1946, and grew up in Windham, Ohio. She was the eldest daughter of the late Sylvia B. Oxley and Leonard D. Pritt. Patricia was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She received her Minister’s license and loved to preach and teach about her Pentecostal belief and faith. She would minister in song with her husband, Jerry and their bluegrass gospel band, The Butler family. They traveled extensively singing about God’s love and had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. They were inducted into the WV Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Patricia often stated that her greatest joy and reward, was in her music ministry seeing and hearing the testimonies from the people whose lives were touched by God’s anointing that was felt in the music and songs. Patricia is survived by her children, Dorine and Jack Booher of Lordstown, Ohio, John and LeeAnn Allman of Proctorville, Ohio, Mardale Finchman and Nick Russo of Warren, Ohio, Anita Acord of Proctorville, Ohio, Sara and Mike Pospisil of Fayetteville, NC, and Beverly Kirker of Summersville, WV; 12 grandchildren, Nicole, Andrew, Cheyenne, Jacob, Jaden, Steven, Anthony, Isaiah, Zack, Matthew, Josiah and Joshua; 13 great grandchildren, Chandler, Dominic, Savannah, Dalton, Isabella, Blake, Carter, Maverick, Jaskson, Gabriella, Kameron, Kolton and Kayden; one sister, Doris (Darwin) Roughbaugh of Akron, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she dearly loved. We will always love you, mommie dearest. Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Galilee Apostolic Church, 3939 Potomac Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44515.
