David Eugene Clay Sr.David Eugene Clay Sr. 68, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, surrounded by all of his children. He was born on August 24, 1953, in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his dad Chester “Shorty” Clay and great grandbaby Kayden Ray Clay. He is survived by his mother Anna Jean Clay; children Christa (Mike) Plybon, Andrea (Crystal) Williams, David (Candi) Clay, and Katelyn Clay; siblings Mary Black, Donna (Ernest) Curry, Kelly (Jimmy) Dement, and Roger (Stephanie) Clay; grandchildren Kerry (Jay Tee) Thomas, Christopher (Danielle) Brantley, David-Codey (Raven) Clay, Justin and Bryan Brantley, Caleb Plybon, Cheyanne Clay, Halee Plybon, Emaleigh Black, Shelby Welch, and Jimmie (Patrick) McCluney; great grandchildren Hayden Brantley, Arianna Bowen, Jordan Thomas, Riley Clay, Amara Thomas and Athena McCluney; as well as two bonus daughters Laura Clay and DJ Black; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends Walter “Bucky” Null, Delcie McCulloch, and Kimberly Johnson, his porch sitting buddy. David was a retired painter supervisor from Marshall University. He loved outdoors and going fishing until his health declined where he learned how to work on and rebuild computers. David was loved and will be missed by everybody that knew him. He loved animals which included his grandpets Baxter and Nova. Funeral Service will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Darrell Buttram officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV.
