Melissa Lou Adkins, 45, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born February 25, 1976 in Logan, WV, a daughter of Herbert and Roxie White Smith of Lavalette. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Matthew Adkins; two daughters, Roxanna Paige Adkins and Cortney Adkins; four sons, Timothy Wagner, Matthew Adkins, Austin Vickers, Charley Miller; two sisters, Lisa Hodge and Marlena Bing; one brother, Tyler Berry; three grandchildren, Brentley Rollins, Mason Adkins, and Ryker Adkins. I am missing my mothe n law very badly we all know that she was ready to go I love you and can't wait to meet again and I know u are watching over us and your grandbabies miss you alot and I know that u was good grandma and good mom and Matt and Courtney and the boys and I and big matt all miss you there ain't a day goes by that they don't think about you it's hard on holidays and on your birthday u stay on every one mind every day love u ??????

My condolences to ALL of the family matt,Courtney,little matt, Marlena, Roxie and the babies :( Missy was a beautiful soul inside and out I'll never forget the memories I shared with her she was most def one of the strongest women I knew....she will always have a special place in my heart just as Roxanna she was the first baby I ever witnessed being born ?? and I know Missy is at piece being home with her she's missed her and longed for her so much since the day she left....prayers for you all

It's so hard and heartbreaking. I will always carry my daughter Melissa in my heart. I miss her so bad. I don't know what I'm going to do on her birthday and holidays. It's going be very hard. I know God granted her wish. She has been in grief over her baby Roxanna for so many years. Now Melissa is with her. I will be strong for her children and grandbabies also her husband and my 2 daughters and my husband.
