David William MoehlingDavid William Moehling, 76, of Huntington, passed away March 25, 2023. He was born September 27, 1946, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Frederick William “Fritz” Moehling and Kathryn Ester Kincade Moehling. He was also preceded in death by brother Frederick Ernest Moehling and sister Mary Hedwig Moehling-Powell. He is survived by his wife Beverly Kirk Moehling, son Rodney W. Moehling (Crystal); stepsons Christopher Michael Withrow (Melanie) and Matthew Ryan Withrow (Elizabeth); grandchildren Preston Moehling (Grace) and Palmer Moehling, Tierney Withrow and Kirk Withrow. He attended Marshall University and became a mechanical engineer having worked at Union Carbide, Dow Chemical, Middough Engineering, and CDI Engineering. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with the funeral beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers honorarium gifts can be made to Erma’s Angels Inc, 2930 Merritts Creek Road, Huntington, WV, 25702 (a non-profit company that held a special place in Dave’s heart) or Little Victories Animal Rescue P.O. Box 247, Barboursville, WV, 25504 www.littlevictories.org Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a great guy. Always had a smile and a laugh. Was a great conversationalist and had the ability to make anyone feel like family. Prayers to all the family.

Dave Moehling was a good friend to many, and we all will miss him dearly. Dave was always in a positive mood, and his presence always seem ed to light up any room he was in. RIP my friend.

David and I were the reason neither was a member of the Future Engineers Club at BHS. Ironically, we both became engineers. Although we have not seen each other for many years, I will miss him greatly.

I am saddened to read about Dave's passing. I have not seen Dave in such a long time. I got to know Dave when we were at Marshall. We used to play handball while at Marshall. Dave was a great guy and I want to give Dave's family my deepest sympathy. Dave will be missed

I am so sorry for your loss. I am heartbroken. I always loved Dave and it was always so much fun when the family would get together. His sense of humor and laugh will be missed. A donation has been made to Little Victories in his memory.

Hassie and I are so so sorry for your loss. Dave was a great man and friend to us and he will be missed dearly by all. He was the type of guy who made everyone feel welcome and as though he had known us all along. Wish we could be there in your time of need. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Dave was a great man to get to be around! Always had a smile and made people feel genuinely special. He will be missed be so many who had the honor to be able to call him friend or family! Prayers to all that had the honor to get to be a part of this wonderful man’s life! God bless and RIP Dave.
