Prayers for the family. Jo and I were connected through her Sister Irene and I being classmates at Burch High. I would go visit their home to pick them up for Sunday School. Mr. Dotson wouldn't at first allow the kids to come but then over time, with Jo being "responsible" we took them. Always kept in touch down through the years regardless of where we lived or if I was out of the County at times. So many precious memories of the "girls" having a night out, going to church and worshipping together, praying for each other and most of all a love that never ever faded. We used to answer the phone with "this is your partner in crime" and she would laugh that incredible joyous laugh. IIona Bulen and I had a lot of special times with JoAnn and she was so blessed to have her in the picture for support that kept her focused. Soon and very soon, JoAnn.

We were friends with George and JoAnn for many years! We vacationed together in various places; one year all the way to Colorado! What great memories! Joann taught the little children in Sunday School and a group called Hummingbirds, 3 & 4 year olds. She was so good at teaching them about Jesus and the Bible.

JoAnn was, above all, a spiritual person and an innocent soul. She cherished her family, and was guided daily by that love and desire to nurture. She also had a fun-loving, mischievous side, and was always up for adventure! We will forever remember her laughter and courage while tubing down the Ohio River! Ultimately, it became a swimming lesson! But even drenched as a river rat, she was smiling and laughing. Now the angels are keeping her afloat….and we have our memories of special times with a special lady.

George and JoAnn were our best friends during the 70's. They took us under their wings. They had us over for game nights. They helped us when we moved to a new home. They displayed Christian love and hospitality. Time, family and work drifted us apart but we never forgot them and will always cherish our memories of them. One day, probably all to soon, we will all once again be able to fellowship together around His throne.

JoAnn Murdock Brumfield, was such a sweet person. I only knew her a very short time. However, her presence and sweet spirit will forever be in my heart. Her beautiful smile and glow was breathe taking. You could feel the love of Jesus radiate from her. Her mind unfortunately was was fighting a terrible disease. But, it did not take her love for the Lord. Every time you saw her she had a big smile and open arms for everyone. Our loss is Heavens gain. She is in glory and praising the Lord. We all will miss her. But we will see her beautiful spirit in Heaven. Love you Ms. JoAnn.... Prayers for her sweet family.
