 Harvalee Elkins, 94, of Barboursville, WV, passed away May 3, 2024, at The Village at Riverview. She was born December 29, 1929, in Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Jay and Bertha Mae Rice Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Herbert Elkins; her sisters, her twin sister Nora Marie Grimes, Julia Baumgardner, and Betty Ford; brothers James, Fred, Don and Gary Wilson. She is survived by one daughter Marion Holbrook (Thomas) of Ona; three sons Jimmy Elkins (Robin) of Huntington, Chuck Elkins (Eppie) of Culloden, and Paul Elkins (Jane) of Parkersburg, WV; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Chuck Elkins. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at The Village at Riverview for the loving care given to our mother while she was there. I am so sorry for your loss. I have great memories of visiting with Harvalee when I was young (I’m Greg Baumgardner’s daughter, Julia’s granddaughter). She always asked about us and was always so good to my family. She will be greatly missed. Praying for peace and healing for you all.
