VIRGINIA WHITED, age 80, passed from this life on Monday, October 20, 2003, at St. Mary’s Medical Center to have eternal life in heaven with the Lord. She was born January 9, 1923, near Lebanon, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ray and Martha Connor Ingels. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Howard Ingels. Survivors include her husband, Clyde E. Whited; daughters Jacqueline Woody and husband Larry, Sharon Brown and husband Bill; two grandchildren, Amy Leigh Deering and Brad Christopher and wife Laura; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Deering, Haleigh and Luke Christopher, all of Huntington; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Ingels of Ona, W.Va., and Audrey Williams of Oak Hill, W.Va.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. "Ginny," as most of her friends called her, was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very caring person who always put other’s needs before her own. She had a host of friends because she was a friend to everyone. She was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church. For over 30 years she worked side by side with her daughter Jackie at Woody’s Kitchens. She ran the accounting department, however she knew every facet of the business. She was very instrumental in the success of the business. She loved to travel but home was her "Favorite Spot." Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Henson Mortuary located at 6357 East Pea Ridge Road with her son-in-law, Larry Woody, and the Rev. Richard Childers conducting the service. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at Henson Mortuary. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park located on West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington. Our family will never be the same without her, but she will continue to be in our hearts and thoughts forever. We loved her so very much but realize God’s love is even greater and He will take wonderful care of her.
