MARY LOU KELLEY, 73, of Huntington passed away September 28, 2003, in Sunbridge of Putnam in Hurricane. Memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2003, at Faith United Methodist Church, Huntington, by the Rev. Tim Conrad. She was born March 23, 1930, in Pineville, W.Va., a daughter of Roy and Lucille Weaver Kelley. She was a Registered Nurse and Pediatric Practitioner at Miners Memorial Hospital in Beckley, Cabell Huntington Hospital and the John Marshall Medical Center in Huntington. She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and attended West Virginia University. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Kelley and T.J. "Jack" Kelley. Survivors include a brother, S.L. Kelley of Boise, Idaho; and three sisters, Sue Lilly of Milton, Nancy Vaughan of Beckley and Harrier Booth of St. Albans. There will be no visitation. Contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Alumni Scholarship Fund at the St. Mary’s School of Nursing or a charity of your choice. I WORKED WITH MARY LOU MANY YEARS AGO. SHE WAS A CARING AND DEVOTED NURSE. SHE WELL TRULY BE MISSED.

I can well appreciate what a great loss this must be to your family. One only wishes that there was something they can do or say to soften the grief. But only time can do that--and it will as it surely did for me.
