WESTIE EMMALENE BROWN of Milton, WV. died Sunday, October 19, 2003. She was born July 22, 1920 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Emily Morris Brown. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 23, 2003 at Henson Mortuary by Pastor Mark Finley. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery at Ball's Gap. She was a member of Ball's Gap Baptist Church and a member of the Cabell County Democratic Women's Club. She was a graduate of Milton High School and Wiseman Business College. She was a retired Secretary from the Music Department, Marshall University. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lonnie, Mahlon, Ralph and Roscoe Brown. Eight sisters, Clarice and Naomi Brown, Ethel Bias, Myra Bledsoe, Bergie Bias, Zena Mays, Essie Ball and Clova Brown. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. The family wishes to thank the employees of Morris Memorial Nursing Home for their loving care of Emmalene, Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Henson Mortuary, Pea Ridge.
