I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I just heard about this and wanted to let you know I am thinking of all of you. Maude was one of the sweetest ladies I knew, and a very dear friend of Ruth's. The world has lost two very special people in these two and they will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Hello Harry and family. You probably don't remember me but I am Junior Grimes' only son. I saw your Mom's death in the obiturary section of the Herald Dispatch and thought I would share a few memories with you. I first saw your Mom and Dad working in the little Snak Shak restaurant when it was all curbside delivery, the good old days. Your Uncle Fred was a favorite of my Dad's, even offering him the little gas station when he was no longer able to run it. You Dad, rest his soul, used to come into our ESSO station, smoking his pipe, and I would watch he and my Dad converse over the subjects of the time. Our family bought a many a hot dog and root beer from you. I have been in Richmond, VA for thepast 21 years. When I come off the Interstate and look over to where your restaurant used to be, I still have the fondest of memories of the way life used to be. The symapthies of the Grimes family are with you during these trying days. My Dad has been dead 10.5 years and my Mother still lives on Blue Sulphur Road, healthy as she can be at age 76. The memories of what your Mom and Dad for our community will always live in our hearts and lives. May she rest in peace eternally. God Bless all of you!

My sympathy to the Burgess family on the loss of a beautiful lady--in the truest sense of the word. She extended caring and warmth to many, many people, and I was privileged to have spent time with her at the Snack Shack, and, again, many years later on a visit "home." Her legacy will live for a long, long time.
Love and God's blessing to her family and friends,
Fritzie
