Thomas Edward MynesA beloved husband and father, Thomas E. Mynes of Huntington passed peacefully away into the waiting arms of his Lord Friday, Dec. 26, 2003. He was bom Feb. 06, 192\,-the sonof the late Thomas L. and- Erma Lake Mynes. He was a veteran of WWII, serving his country in the U.S. Army in Italy and Northern Africa. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service's Vehicle Maintenance Department. A gifted craftsman and master mechanic, he was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church and V.F.W. post 1064.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Irene Hester Mynes, daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Clarence Martin of Barboursville, daughter Toni Gayle Napier of Wylie, TX and son and daughter-in-law Steven and Linda Mynes of Lakewood, NY. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, John Cartwright of Lansdowne, PA and Courtney Ballard of McKinney, TX, a sister and brother in law Gene and Mary Jane Anderson and niece, Kelly Anderson of Hurricane, WV.

Arrangements are being made through Henson Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd., Huntington. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, Dec. 29, 2003 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 5385 W. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, with internment at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Rt. 60 E. Huntington, WV.

Tom loved his Lord, his family and his community of friends. He will be deeply and profoundly missed.
