 MRS. NANCY VIRGINIA HARLESS, 87, widow of Cephis W. Harless, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at Henson Mortuary, by the Rev. Sue Jarrett. Entombment will be in Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion. She was born August 24, 1916, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas A. Thomas and Garnet Louise Marks Harless. She retired from H&R Block and was involved with CONTACT of Huntington. She was a member of Pea Ridge United Methodist Church She had been active in her church, especially the Wednesday (Dorcus) quilters. Her greatest love was her children and being a homemaker. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donald and Betty Harless of Cinncinnati, Ohio, Nancy Wells of Huntington, Brenda and Jim Wamsley of Huntington, Fred Harless of Huntington; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews; sister, Edith Seward of Conneautville, Pa.; and brothers, Jack Thomas of Huntington and Bill Thomas Tarboro, N.C. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Harless was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Thomas, and son-in-law, the Rev. Travis E. Wells. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville. Pallbearers will be Travis Wells III, Tim Wells, Jim Wamsley, Jerry Beckett, Alan Meek and William Durstein. Family condolences can be sent at http://www.timeformemory.com/henson.
