THEODORE ROOSEVELT "Teddy" BLACK JR., 60, of Charleston, W.Va., formerly of Barboursville, W.Va., died Sunday, February 22, 2004, in Charleston Area Medical Center. Funeral service noon Wednesday, February 25, 2004, at Henson Mortuary, Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Mr. Black was a retired physical therapist for the state of West Virginia at Institute and a member of Bible Center Church, Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Roosevelt Black Sr. and Mary Ellen Blankenship Black. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Schell Fortunato; a daughter, Angela Davis and her husband Hollie of Barboursville; a son, Michael Sowards and his wife Rachel Sowards of Milton; three sisters, Joan Black and Barbara Elam, both of Barboursville, and Dottie Black of Princeton; two brothers, Everett Black of Greenbottom, W.Va., and Bill Black of Milton; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
