Patty Jean MeadowsPatty Jean Fenner Meadows, 70. of Milton, WV formerly of Huntington, WV departed this life to rest in eternal peace with her heavenly father. She was born February 11,1934 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Kermit Reed Fenner and Ethel Mae Mason Fenner. She was retired after 27 years of dedicated service to the WV Department of Agriculture, Guyan Soil Conservation District. She was a 1952 graduate of Huntington East High School were she met and fell in love with her husband of 52 years, Laddie Don Meadows. She was a member of Dillon Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving family, her husband. Laddie, two sons and daughter-in-laws. Michael R. Meadows and Linda R. Brown Meadows of Milton; Mark A. Meadows and Laura S. Brown Meadows of Barboursville; one daughter and son-in-law, Brian and Kirn Beach-Shaffer of Huntington; seven grandchildren, SheaLeigh D. Beach and fiance Christopher L. Burger of Milton; Mindy R. Meadows Facemyer and Justin M. Facemyer of Ripley; Megan D. Meadows of Barboursville; Corey R. Beach of Huntington; Jayme S. Meadows of Milton; Jacob T. Meadows of Barboursville and Morgan J. Meadows of Milton, one very special great-granddaughter, Hannah Cohle Conrad of Milton. four step-grandchildren. Summer N. Smith of Barboursville; Brandon W. Smith and Holly Draper Smith of Layton, UT; Ashley D. and Kassandra Shatter of Huntington and one step-great granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Adkins of Barboursville. She was kind, giving and loving and showed her love in many unspoken selfless act never thinking of herself only those whom she loved so dearly. Although, petite in stature (never let size full you), she was a great source of energy with her fiery spirit and determined resolve. She was the essence of genuine strength and courage even in her last hours. She spent the last several winters of retirement with her husband in the fabulous Florida Keys basking in the sun and fishing in the Gulf Stream waters. The love that she shared so freely in her 70 years is immeasurable and will be treasured for a life time. The lives of her family and friends were touched very deeply and will forever be molded by her presence. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday Evening, April 13, 2004 at Dillion Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Rowe and Rev. Teresa Markins officiating. Donations can be made to Dillion Chapel United Methodist Building fund. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
