 C. DONALD "DON" HENDRICKSON, 84, of Huntington, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church Chapel, Huntington, with Dr. Allen Reasons and the Rev. Hubert Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Mr. Hendrickson was born December 2, 1919 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, a son of the late Fred Sr. and Hazel Adkins Hendrickson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Summers. He was a funeral director for 30 years in the Huntington area, retiring from Snodgrass Funeral Home in Charleston. After his retirement, he was affiliated with Henson Mortuary of Barboursville. Mr. Hendrickson was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and an active committee member there. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. He is survived by his wife, Lilly "Lil" Vineyard Hendrickson; a daughter, Donna Hendrickson Lindelof and her husband Gregory of Mountain View, Calif.; two grandsons, the Rev. Mark Alan Robertson of Atlanta, Ga., and Paul Daniel Robertson of Bozeman, Mont.; two great-grandchildren, Dorothea Faith and Sophia Francis Robertson; a sister, Louise Hunt of Edgewater, Fla.; and a brother, Fred Hendrickson Jr., of Titusville, Fla. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church chapel. The family would like to express their thanks to Hospice of Huntington, Pro-Nursing Inc., and caregiver Kim Litchfield. Pallbearers will be Mark Alan Robertson, Paul Daniel Robertson, James Greyard, Dr. Randy Smith, David Elmore and Charles Henson.
