1922 - 2004
 Mr. Carroll Herman Collins, 82, of Huntington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2004 after a long illness. He was born in Cabell County the son of the late Samuel and Agnes Clark Collins. Carroll was a retired carpenter with Local #302, a veteran of WWII, and attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Burks Collins, two sons Michael H. and John Collins; three brothers Lyman, Roland, and a twin brother Harold (Babe) Collins. He is survived by his adopted family of 14 years where he made his home, Dorothy H. Carroll, Alice J. Perry, Thomas Ferguson all of Huntington, Sandra L. Harper, Kathy and Tony Petry, Barry and Stephanie Harper, Karen and Richard White, 5 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter all of Van, WV, one son Jack Collins, one daughter Jean Woody, and a host of friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington, Dr. Ralph Stevens and staff for the special care they have provided in this time of need. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Henson Mortuary with Pastor Larry Sanders and Rev. David Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till service time. This is to Jack Collins. I am so sorry to see that your father has passed away. I believe that you and I went to West Jr. High together from 60'-63'and then to Vinson High for one semester. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. May God Bless you and comfort you during this time of saddness.
