Neva iris Gibson, 84, of Ona, Widow of Lewis Clark Gibson, passed away Monday, Feb,21,2005, to be with her Lord and Saviorat the home of her daughter. She was born April, 29, 1920, in Alderson,W.Va. a daughter of the late David Wilson And Lula Virginia Colegrove Sowards, I additon to her husband she was preceded by a sister, Mary Icantha Waugh and a brother David Wilson Sowards. She was a graduate of Alderson Hifhg School and a member of Mud River Baptist Church.She is survived by (4) Sons Rev. Lewis Brent & Ellen Gibson.Continential, Ohio, Jeffrey Brian Gisbson, Pine, Colo, Robert Stewart & Stephanie Gibson, Ronald laine & Kimberly Gibson all of Ona, (2) Daughetrs, Kathryn Elaine & Jonathan beckett, rebecca gail & Dennis Childers, of Ona, (15) Grandchildren, (2) GreatGrandchildren, (1) sister,Myra Gluff- williamstown,W.Va., (1) Brother, Thomas& Betty Sowards- proctorville,Ohio,Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2.24.2005, at 2:00P.M. at Mud River Baptist Church with Re. Don Wheeler. Burial will follow in Blue Sulphur Cemetery, Ona, Grandsons will be pallbearers, Brent David, Richard, Gregory, Ben Gibson, Jared & Mark Childers. Visitaion will be held Wednesday 2/23/2005, from 5-9 P.M. at Henson Mortuary, and i hr before services at the church.
