Dear Hesson Family:
Please accept my most sincere condolences. Mrs. Hesson was my dance teacher in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I have so many fond memories of Saturday morning dance classes, and going over to Hesson Drug to get the water jug filled. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today is April 7. I just saw MeMe's obituary online. You know, I just expected her to keep on being there forever, I guess. She will always be here forever in my memory as are you, Mary; and you, Pam; and you, Candy. You were all such an essential part of my childhood that I can't ever think of being young without thinking of dancing in the little studio in the alley; Momma playing the piano; Jeanne and Mary instructing, alternately; running to that little store to get snacks and pop when someone else's class was up.
The world will not be the same without Mary. I wish I had known. I would have been there to give her my respect and honor. She was precious, kind, dear, loving, giving. There will never be another like her. Her influence will go on in countless other of her students who, like me, loved and revered her.
God bless you all. Please let me know how you are doing. Love, Becky

So very sorry to hear about the families great loss. Mary was such a wonderful lady, and dance teacher. Melissa was one of her students in 1982, and loved her very dearly. She touched a lot of young hearts as well as old, she will be sadly missed.

Mary was a wonderful influence on my daughters. A kind and gentle lady, I always appreciated her desire for teaching the girls "the love of the dance", not a big emphasis on perfection. As a result, they still love to dance and have fond memories of their years at the Hesson Dance Studio. I'm grateful that we chose her to be our teacher. She was quite a lady!

Hey Little Mary
Read with much sadness today of your mother's passing. Even though we live in Beaufort SC I read the Herald Dispatch on line. Your mom and dad meant so much to me as I grew up on 29th St and later while attendding Marshall. Your dad was one hellova influence on me. This has provided me strength throughout the years. The best of everything to you and yours and may God bless

Mary,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I did not know her but know what it is like to lose a mother. I'm not sure you remember me but we were in Job's Daughters in Barboursville for a while. I graduated in 1966. My love and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Hesson Family,
I never knew your loved one, Mrs. Hesson, personally. However, I have known her by name throughout my life. I am moved to send this message because Mrs. Hesson and I (actually my Mother, Sister and I)share a passion for dance. I just want to say how much I appreciate her lifetime of devotion and commitment to the young people of our community by sharing her love of dance instruction. Having expierenced the loss of my Grandmother in October of 2004, please know that my thoughts are with your family at this difficult time. Sincerely, Michelle Shaver Heiner

Dear Hesson Family, my heart goes out to our beloved Mrs. Hesson. I often think of the great memories and time I had learning and growing as a proud member of the Hesson Dance Studio. I came home to Huntington the weekend before her passing and Divya Abraham asked if she could borrow my jazz shoes. I immediately brought them to her. She was surprised at how quickly I could find my dance items since my last recital was in 1997. I told her I have ALL my dance costumes, clothes, and shoes since the first day I started dancing with Mrs. Hesson, Stacy, Judy, Becky, and Beth at the age of six. Mrs. Hesson was a kind, loving person and will continue to be an inspiration to those who were blessed by her presence. Please accept my condolences to family and friends.
