Mrs. Hicks,
I did not know you or your husband. I was at the golf course when he passed. I am truly sorry. We were standing in line to pay our green fees - chit chatting and he just went, there did not appear to be any pain or discomfort. I attempted to make him as comfortable as my ignorance would allow, but to no avail. Again, I am truly sorry for your loss.

I would just like to send my sincere sympathys to the Hicks family. I am the mother of Mindy Bates, who was a nurse at Chateau Grove when Gladys was staying there. The whole Hicks family was so kind to my daughter, and is very much appreciated. Mrs. Hicks, please keep the faith. You are a very sweet lady, and your husband was a very kind and gentle man.
