 HAROLD RUSSELL "ROD" BROOKOVER,82, of Huntington, WV., passed away in St. Mary's Medical Center, Thursday, June 9, 2005. Feneral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2005, at HENSON MORTUARY, Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, by the Rev. Jerry Harrah. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park, Hamlin, WV. He was born May 2, 1923, in Hamilin, WV., a son of the late Abraham Presley and Virginia Augustus McMellon Brookover. A graduate of Marshall University, he was a retired food broker for R.T. French Co. Mr. Brookover was a member of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church, Barboursville; American Legion Post #177; Barboursville School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II. He is surviving by his wife, Jean Sutton Brookover; Daughters Sue B. Stilwell at home and Robby Jo Barton of Martinsburg, WV.; a son Wade Presley Brookover of Indian Trail, NC.; grandchildren, Shoshona BNarton, Heather Barton, Spc Caressa Barton, Jennifer Nicole, Priscilla Annarose, and Benjamin Presley Brookover; and a newphew, Douglas Graham and his wife Tommie of Cincinnati. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Friday, June 10, 2005, at HENSON MORTUARY. Condolencesw may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/henson.
