
CHARLES MORRIS HATCHER, SR., 91, of Huntington, went home to be with the Lord, November 6, 2005. He was born, June 20, 1914 in Montgomery, West Virginia. He worked at Martin Aircraft, in Baltimore, MD during World War II, and serv ed our community at the Huntington Housing Authority from which he retired in 1975, after faithfully working for thirty years. After retirement he joyfully met the needs of young people, by working for Mid-American Christian School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erie Gabriel and Gertrude Vaden Morris Hatcher, and two brother, Vernon and William Hatcher.
He is survived by his beloved wife aof 67 years, Mary Mildfred Ellis Hatcher, formerly of Henlawson, West Virginia, one daughter, Judith Surprise, of Datyona Beach, FL., three sons and their wifes; Charles, Jr. and Sue Hatcher, David and Melanie Hatcher, and Steve and Ellen Hatcher, all of Huntington. Nine grandchildren,eleven great-grandchildren, and many loving brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 11:00am at HENSON MORTUARY, HUNTINGTON. His life will be celebrated with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00pm. The Reverend Larry Green, of River Cities Comunity Church, where he was a fithful member for many years, officiating.
