Irene Grubbs, 84 of Milton, died Sunday Nov. 13,2005 at home with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 23, 1921 in West Hamlin. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband of 48 years, Clyde Grubbs passed away Oct. 1, 1985. Also, preceding her in death were 2 sisters, her "twin" Ruth "Jerry" Napier, Helen Flora and 2 brothers. She is survived by 2 sisters Virginia Maniaci and Peggy Harris and her children, Clyde Grubbs, Jr.-son, Charlene Grubbs Blankenship-daughter (Harold, son-in-law), Ronald Grubbs-son, Denise Grubbs Sharif. grandaughter, Melissa Grubbs-grandaughter, Micheal Blankenship-grandson, Aaron Grubbsgrandson and 6 great-grandchildren Matthew Grubbs, Hunter, Mikayla, Mackenzie, Makenna, and Hayden Blankenship. Funeral services will be at Henson Mortuary, visitation at 1 :00 and service at 2:00PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, with the Rev. Mark Fisher officiating.
