I have many happy memories of Bill, from a time when we were young and idealistically wanted to make a positive impact, to improve the world. Being a few years older than Bill, he always seemed to be asking questions, wanting to learn and wanting to help. Bill was one of the "staightest of arrows'. I last saw Bill three years ago when we had a pleasant reunion talking about the good old days, old friends, military service, his family and the famous R&K Pizza. I am saddened by Bill's passing and regret not having met his daughter.

I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to Bill's family and friends. Bill and I grew up together in Barboursville. I have many good memories of our times together. I have been away from Barboursville for over 30 years and never got to meet Bill's wife and daughter, but hope to some day. I lost my father when I was 24 years old. It was a lot of pain, but as time went on the pain left and I had a very good life. It will be the same with you. I hope these words bring you some comfort.
