Dear Jarrell Family, My heart aches for you and for your loss. I just learned of Sarah's passing this evening when I was attending the Christmas program at River Cities. I am just one of many who will wish you healing and peace and comfort in knowing that God has a plan even when we can't figure it out. Please accept my sincerest condolences and prayers for you and your strength in the Lord to walk in sunshine again.

Diana, We received word via Steve & Peggy King about Sarah yesterday. Our hearts are broken and saddened. I recall the great joy that we seven families had the night we received the girls in China. I know the joy our daughters have brought to our lives these past years. Donna and I have held Lydia a lot closer. Last night when Lydia saw Sarah's picture, she said, "She looks like me!" They are both beautiful. We are saddened by your untimely loss. We cannot imagine the pain you are going through, but know we are praying for you. I know at a time like this, only the Holy Spirit of God can comfort the deepest hurt and pain. We have prayed for you over the years, but none more than now. If there is anything we can do for you, please call or write. With sadden but hopeful hearts in Christ, Steve, Donna, Preston and Lydia Byrd

Dear Diana, I can't imagine what you must be going thru with the loss of your daughter. She was a beautiful little girl. I didn't know she was your daughter, until I saw the news story on ch.3. I know it must be a great comfort just to know she is in heaven now. Again, I am truly sorry for your loss. Take care, Bob

I am a dear friend of your cousin, Brandon Roberts. He told me of the tragic death of young Sarah and I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to your family. Although I didn't know Sarah directly it is always a tragedy to lose a young life with still so much potential. She sounded like a wonderful young lady, and I know she will be deeply missed. Know that the thoughts and prayers of myself and my family are with you at this difficult time. Sarah is now an Angel watching down on us, until we can be with her again in the glory of Heaven. My deepest regrets, Tina Brooks.

Dear Diana, Our prayers are with you and your parents over your loss of Sarah. I remember the 6th floor hallway of the Jianxji Hotel the evening of September 14, seven plus years ago now, the warmth, the hope, and shared experience. Hearing Edwin call each new parent's name and a little bundle handed. God gave her to you (and your family) to raise for his purposes. You have now handed her back to our Lord. Why? I know not. In these deep and dark days of loss listen closely to a quiet voice saying "Well done." You raised her well and by God's grace introduced her to Christ. Well done. You showed her love as Christ has shown to you. Well done. This does not eliminate pain but gives meaning through it. We mourn with you and celebrate with you the life of your beautiful Sarah, now your daughter in the Lord. Our prayers rest with you. Steve and Peggy King

Dear Mrs Jarrell, I heard about Sarah when I was at Geneva Kent Thursday morning and this is simply heartbreaking. I also heard that for her birthday (I don't know which one) Sarah did not want any presents for herself, only donations to the animals. So I would like to dedicate my annual "Christmas March for the Animals" to Sarah, in her memory. I will display her picture on the table used to put the food the children bring. I hope you like the idea and unless I hear that there is ANY reason this does not meet with your approval, I will plan on doing this. We will have the march Thursday morning around 8:30 AM in the hall at the school. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Mrs. Thorn

Its hard to express how much I love this little girl, or how much she means to me. There was more than one occasion when she taught me a lesson. Sarah never hesitated to hug, help, lead, smile, talk to the new kids, or do cartwheels. All of which, are VERY admirable and inspiring characteristics. Thanks for sharing your little girl with us. Memories of her will remain in my heart throughout my lifetime. ~Miss Patrina (AWANA)

This is the most heart breaking news imaginable--unreal and unfair--and I can't stop crying. There is some small comfort, however, in knowing that Sarah fulfilled her earthly duties and had YOU properly disciplined in obedience, shopping, kids' movies, and tiny-toy parts management. She did great work, that girl. We love you both.

Dear Diana, I was shocked when David informed me of Sarah's passing. My thoughts went back to all the times I have seen her and how full of energy she was. She never met a stranger. I know by the look in your eyes when you would talk about Sarah and the million things she was doing that she was the pride of your life. Take heart in knowing that you did a great job raising her and she loved you and all her family very much. I know she is in heaven now with her great-grandparents Nora and Cliff and her Great Uncle Pat. Sarah will always be remembered for her smile, energy, and love of others. My prayers are with you, Skip and Erma, Steve, Sherry, Paige, and Taylor. My Love To You All, Debbie Sue
