Expressing condolences seems so inadequate at a time like this, especially after the other recent losses suffered by the family. But for those of us who aren’t members of the family, it’s about all we can do to show our feelings and our support. Please know that, much as we can, others share your sorrow and are here to support you.

It is with great regret that I read of the passing of Tom Roach. I had the opportunity to teach with him at Cabell Midland High School. During my morning hall duty, Tom would always pass on his way to class with a smile. It was a great way to begin each day. He was a great teacher and I know he cared greatly for the students of Cabell Midland High School. May God be with the Roach family at this time of loss. My deepest heartfelt condolences in the loss of your brother. Tom has always been a close friend and was one of my first student teachers. He exhibited a strong compassion for his students in their learning. Over the years we developed a comradery within the teaching profession. He will be sorely missed.
