LESTER EUGENE "SAM" CHILDERS, 75, of Portland, TN, formely of Barboursville. He passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006, at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN. He was retired from Houdaille Industries, Huntington and Fleet Designs, Portland TN. He was born in Barboursville, WV, the son of the late Oscar and Stella Rayburn Childers. He is survived by his wife, Joann Church Childers, and four sons, Robert of MIlton, James of Huntington, Steve of Portland, TN., and Tony Childers of Cross plains, TN.,
One sister Mary Templeton, of Huntington. Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2006, 6-9PM at HENSON MORTUARY. Funeral services at 1:00pm January 28, 2006 at the Mortuary. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Bill Davis. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville. HENSON MORTUARY is in charge of arrangements. JoAnn I just wanted to express my sympathies I worked with Sam at Houdaille. He always called Mike Curry and I the "Kids" I enjoyed working with Sam and always considered him a friend I have not seen him for several years. But his name brings back fond memories
