Dearest Aunt Fern and Family: My deepest condolences on the passing of Uncle Carl. Please accept my most sincere apology for not being able to make it to the services. I was, at home, very sick with a migraine. Love and prayers to all as I hold you dear to my heart.

Fern, I cannot express my sorrow for you and the family over the loss of my beloved uncle. He spent countless hours teaching me the skills of baseball as I was growing up. As I will not be able to travel to Huntington for his services, please know that you are in the prayers of Pat, the girls and myself. Heaven has again gained another angel. May God be with you
