Another member of our neighborhood has gone home to be with our Lord. I would like to extend to the Adkins family the sympathy and condolences of the Morton H. Grimes, Jr. (Junior Grimes) family upon the going home of Mary Ann Adkins, mother of Bobby and Jesse, my childhood friends and Blue Sulphur Road Bus Riders to Watson Elementary School and Barboursville Junior High. I remember the first day at Watson School and looking at the vacant desks of Jesse Adkins and Eddie Dale Williams (son of Jim and Virginia Williams). It seemed for two weeks they never came to school and I wondered why they could be so sick to be away from school for so long. When both of them finally made it back to school, we all became neighborhood friends. Bobby was a little guy, closer in age to my sister, Teresa Grimes Reed, who lives now in Woodbridge, Virginia. Teresa does not live too far from Eddie Dale Williams who lives near Manasses, VA. Those years we shared together spanned between 1958 and 1966, then we all went our separate ways as life often takes us. Our neighborhood has changed so much, yet the people who lived there will never change. I would love to see Jesse and Bobby come in for the Watson School Elementary Reunion the weekend of August 26th. My wife and I came in last year for it and we had a blast. There were many familiar faces, some fat bellies, and bald heads, but the fellowship was still the same. My Dad, Junior died on August 5th, 1993, and mother is still alive and living in our home place. She was 79 this past January and still in great health. God Bless all of you in this time of sorrow. The Grimes' family has felt your pain. Take care and all of you come to the reunion this year. I promise you it will be worth the trip. God Bless Ya! Conley Grimes (wife Jean Ann) 7911 Alvarado Road Richmond, Virginia 23229-4208 804-288-3219 We have two sons, Darren (25) & Kevin (18)
